📌 About the Role:

Marble Engineering and Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled and creative UI/UX Designer to lead the user experience and interface design of our upcoming mobile app — a ride-hailing platform similar to Uber or Bolt. This app will connect drivers with customers seeking on-demand transport services across Kenya.

You will be responsible for designing an intuitive, engaging, and efficient user journey for both the customer and driver interfaces, as well as the admin dashboard. Your designs will directly influence the usability and success of the platform.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product owners and developers to define app features and user flows
• Design user personas, journey maps, and low-to-high fidelity wireframes
• Build interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD
• Create mobile UI mockups for both customer and driver apps, including onboarding, booking, navigation, payments, and chat features
• Design web dashboard layouts for admin users
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback
• Ensure design responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-platform consistency
• Provide design assets and specifications to development teams
• Work closely with the backend and mobile developers during implementation

✅ Requirements:

• Proven experience designing mobile apps, especially in the ride-hailing or service-matching sectors (Uber, Bolt, Glovo, etc.)
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design projects for mobile and web applications
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools
• Familiarity with design systems and Material Design
• Understanding of front-end development basics is an added advantage
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field

🏗️ Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on transport, logistics, or location-based apps
• Ability to translate business goals into user-friendly designs
• Comfortable working in agile or iterative development environments
